Scandalous pictures have been made public by Us Weekly magazine showing the Twilight Saga actress getting cozy with her Snow White and The Huntsman director. Kristen Stewart, 22 has been exclusively dating her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, 26 publicly since last year but know that incriminating photos have been published there is no denying that the couple is headed for trouble.

Us Weekly published photos of Kristen with Rupert Sanders, 41 at a film festival enjoying some alone time. Since the scandal broke out Kristen Stewart has apologized in a statement to People magazine: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

British director Sanders was not far behind with his apology to his wife and children. Sanders is married to British model Liberty Ross who played Kristen's mom in Snow White and The Huntsman. Sanders described himself as "utterly distraught about the pain" he caused his "beautiful wife and heavenly children," and said he is "praying" that they can get through it together.

Sources confirmed Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders were not involved during the filming of Snow White and The Huntsman and now that the affair has been exposed the media is combing for clues in interviews by both Sanders and Stewart. Like this one from PopSugar where Sanders talks about working with Kristen: "She's tenacious and rebellious and really kind of raw and primal. She was kind of a wild horse - (and I was) trying to rein her down. She has that kind of modernity that I wanted for Snow White.”

Now the focus will be on the victims of this fleeting affair; Robert Pattinson and Liberty Ross.

Hours before the story broke Ross posted cryptic tweets, including this one from Marilyn Monroe, who had experience with cheating scandals: "Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." She also posted a picture of Snow White crying and drinking, along with the caption, "Not so pretty or so pure after all..." is posted to an Instagram account that purportedly belongs to Ross but is a private account. Ross has since deleted both her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Robert Pattinson has been quiet on the issue but will be doing the press rounds to promote his film Cosmopolis and the topic is bound to come up.

In retrospect, were we really expecting Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to make it past their Twilight days since the saga is almost complete?
