You have got the perfect furniture and the perfect upholstery for your place but still your place does not present the desirable look you have always wanted for your home. If you really want to give a special feel to your place then decorate your house with the right kind of accessories. It's actually these little decoration items that define you, your taste, your sense of style that add that zing to your abode. It's always good to look out for accessories and artefacts that complement the furniture like silverware and crystal pieces. Irrespective of the colour of your room, furniture and upholstery, these items perfectly gel in wherever they are kept.
However, finding the exquisite objets d' art and accessories is not an easy task. One has to explore many places to collect different decorative items from different places and shops. One such shop is owned by Nadia Kazi. She has recently opened her home decor and gift shop in Clifton, Karachi where one can find beautiful pieces of home decor according to one's taste and preference.
Nadia Kazi's mother is an interior designer and has been in the business for the past 30 years now. Initially, Nadia started off with designing accessories for her mother's store like candle stands, candles and, her favourite, silverware. But then slowly and gradually she managed to open her own outlet. She has a wide range of things in her outlet, from silver decoration items to cutlery and from stuffed toys to slippers and mugs. She also designs gift boxes in various sizes and uses materials like wood, leather, some sort of fabric and sometimes she also combines different materials to create unique pieces. It is interesting to note that she has done gift wrapping and flower arrangement courses and intends to do more in future.
The hottest selling items of her shelves are her silver collection. "Be it candle stands, serving trays, cake plates, bowls or cutlery, silver is something that everyone loves to collect. I love experimenting with silver and come out with new ideas for home decor hence my silverware is very famous," says Nadia. Well, with Eid just around the corner, this seems to be the place to visit for some cutlery silver shopping. After all, it's not just the food but also the presentation and the serving dishes that make your parties elegant. In fact, it could serve as an ideal gift for a wedding or even Eid, when you are invited to a grand dinner or lunch.
Nadia has a lot of items imported from different parts of the world like United States of America, Bangkok, Dubai etc. Due to her frequent visits abroad it has become quite easy for her to find the best pieces and artefacts from around the world. Now she gets the finest art pieces shipped in Pakistan where she makes it available for the masses at reasonable prices. Her idea is basically to get everything under one roof.
One thing that she absolutely loves to do and wants to take it a step ahead is gift wrapping. Currently, she has gift boxes for birthdays, anniversaries or farewell parties but she wants to get into wedding presents and packing of the ‘bari’ as well. "Whatever item it is... you just give me your product and I will pack it in a fancy and exquisite way," shares Nadia. "I aspire to learn new techniques of wrapping that have never been used in Pakistan before."
Though 'Nadia Kazi Home Decor and Gifts' has opened recently, it is already doing quite well. All the positive response is from her walk in clients who happen to notice her board whether they are in the vicinity or are there for her mother's shop. Her future plans include wedding give-aways and also a flower shop.
"I know our lives have become busier with time. All I wanted to do was to create a place where you can find everything and anything under one roof and don't have to worry about packing it creatively as well," informs Nadia. "From home decor to daily gifts, and from very pricy to very nominal, I have something for everyone."
Sounds pretty convenient, right? So add it to your list of must visit places when you are out to buy something special for yourself or someone extraordinary.
