Version confusion: Overload's 'Dhol Bajay Ga' for The Reluctant Fundamentalist
  Corrigendum

Earlier this week, we reported that Farhad Humayun and the rest of the band members of Overload are celebrating their first major breakthrough in a Hollywood/Bollywood project by joining the soundtrack of Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The song in question is Overload's 'Dhol Bajay Ga'. We reported that for the film Farhad has done the vocals of the song but that is not the case - Meesha Shafi has, back when she was a part of Overload. Speaking to Instep Today, Farhad Humayun made it clear that all rights to all versions of 'Dhol Bajay Ga' are owned by Overload and the band's song will be a part of the film. Which version of the popular song gets featured in the film remains to be seen but for Overload, this is a big coup. According to Farhad, the song will be used in a "dholki/shaadi" sequence within the film.

Mira Nair's Reluctant Fundamentalist is already generating a lot of buzz. The film is all set to open the Venice Film Festival (out of competition) later this month. Rocker Ali Azmat's 'Bum Phatta' will feature on the soundtrack. Other reports suggest that Atif Aslam is also on the soundtrack. Overload have now joined that list. And for that, we couldn't be more pleased.
