Ihis year is all about fashion. First it was the glamorous Pakistan Fashion week and then there was the Bridal couture week. Even though these fashion shows include some designs for men and of course male models, it was the collections designed for women that took over the fashion weeks. But the fact is that women are always keen on dressing the men around them. However, the few designs seen on the ramp are not that great of a help. And we bet that the announcement of a men's fashion week will be a cause of delight for men as well as women.
Recently, a press conference organised by Take II revealed the commencement of a Men's Fashion Week in Karachi that is to take place from 30th August to 1st September, 2012.
This is the country's first fashion event devoted exclusively to designer and high street menswear. This is an excellent opportunity for designers to showcase their core strengths and develop bonds with their potential clients.
This particular fashion week is important for our country as the menswear industry ha s grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade or so, and in such a scenario, there is a dire need for collaboration between manufacturers and designers. This fashion week, in the near future will open doorways for our designers to work with investors in the foreign market. In addition this fashion week is also a great platform for Pakistani male models.
Along with an extensive Male Model Search to unearth new talent, the Men's Fashion Week Pakistan 2012 will feature established top male models from both Karachi and Lahore to create a roster of approximately 60 male models during the three-day event.
Under the creative tutelage of senior designer and Creative Director of the event Munib Nawaz, Men's Fashion Week Pakistan will feature the very best of the Pakistani fashion industry with the participation of renowned designer Amir Adnan and stylists like Khawar Riaz and Nabila along with some exciting new talent. |
