Ask us what our favourite past time is and nearly everyone is going to say TV. We all love sitting in front of the idiot box and let our imaginations go wild. Thanks to our countless news channels, we are always frustrated and infuriated. The slightest sign of annoyance can tick us off completely. Then our entertainment channels are not much of a help as well. The dramas and serials on air are much about despair and hopelessness as well. So, all we wait is for a little hope in our otherwise strangely serious lives.

Recently, a new show has been launched by a private channel that will be hosted by RJ/actor Khalid Malik. Since he hosts a morning show on radio, he gets to be in touch with a lot of youngsters who are striving to bring a change in the society. The show that will be aired from next month will showcase underground young talent and bring them into the limelight. The show titled as ‘No Shashka Show’ will feature musicians, bloggers, artists and etc, and will put their stories out in front of us so that we can take inspiration.

Khalid Malik is very enthusiastic about the whole project. “The talent our youth possess just amazes me every time, and when I was offered this show, I couldn’t say no,” says Khalid. “The musicians we have given a chance are so good that we are surprised why they are still not big in the industry. We have interviewed a 10-year-old blogger because it’s awesome to see such a young girl putting her views forward in the form of blog. She has an opinion, she has a voice and she wants people to listen to her.”

Till now, the show is planned to have 8 episodes, with two talented people getting recognition in each episode but if the response is overwhelming, then they might extend the show. Let’s hope for the best!
