Normally when people talk about beauty they refer to face beauty only whereas it is not the case. Beautiful women are actually well groomed ladies with pretty hands and feet.  Well kept hands can leave people in awe, whereas striking nail colours in accordance with the colour scheme being worn can make one appear trendy. With time, many new nail colours have been introduced into the market and one can find a spectrum of colours to paint the nails with.

However, the most important aspect to be considered when purchasing a nail colour is the quality of the brand as the chemicals in the nail polish may harm the nails. Also, a good quality nail polish should leave a smooth effect.

If you look around the market there are many brands available but the one recognised for its quality products is OPI. You must have heard this brand being mentioned in several salons and the OPI manicures and pedicures are a hit amongst many. For those who don't know much about the brand, it's an internationally recognised name of a nail lacquer manufacturer located in North Hollywood, California. Known for its exquisite nail colours and other products that are required to beautify the most used parts of our body; hands and feet, the brand creates two seasonal collections yearly that consist of 12 shades inspired by the geographical location chosen for each collection. Luckily we are amongst one of the countries who have access to products by this brand. Every salon has an OPI kit and every woman knows the benefits of an OPI manicure and pedicure.

A few of the products by the brand include nail polishes, ridge fillers, pedicure kit with a scrub, soak and other essentials and a manicure kit that exfoliates, revitalizes, renews and protects the hands. Other items that can enhance the nails are the premium nail treatments and nail strengtheners.

It's time all you ladies realised that you deserve the best and opting for other cheap and low quality products will be of no benefit in the long run.

Fashion tips for the summer

Even though you can wear whatever colour you prefer, it's still good to be up to date with the trends. Like clothes, shoes and bags, the nail colours that are in fashion also change from season to season. The most beloved colour of the summer is a bright and shiny orange. This colour goes well with everything and looks good on everyone. Classic nude colours are also among the popular statement nail shades for now. But the most unexpected hit of the season is white polish and this new trend has taken the world by storm. This is because white polish is sexier than neutrals such as beige or pink, especially with a white summer dress. Other popular colours include bold red, bright pink, grey and green. When going nail colour shopping, don't forget to check out the OPI range as they feature pretty pastels with more punch than standard neutrals.

Nail art

Nail art has been popular for a couple of years now but the designs vary with time. Following are the four fun and easy nail art designs for the summer and how you can create them...

Checkers - Section nails into perfect quadrants, draw a cross on each nail with an ultra-fine brush. Fill in with regular polish brush.

Silver tips - A chic twist on an old favourite. Think French manicures with silver or gold tips.

Fading glory - Also referred to as ombre nails. Using three polishes, apply the darkest shade on the bottom of the nail, then the medium one in the middle, and the lightest at the tips. Overlap each coat a little. Finish with a topcoat to lock in the design.

Flowers - Use a toothpick dipped in polish to make detailed patterns like flowers on the nail. Make sure the base colour is completely dry before drawing the petals.
