About the brand:
Those who don’t know about the brand, it is a world-renowned clothing company founded by the Andic Brothers in 1984. The clothing line aiming to dress the urban and modern woman has more than 2,400 stores in more than 107 countries. However, meeting the daily needs of women vary from country to country and the brand adapts its clothing line in accordance to the demands of the women in each area.
The brand’s new Fall-Winter 2012 collection offers four basic lines: Evening, Suit, Casual-Sport and Jeans. Each collection offers garments according to the costumer style and personality. Even though the brand covers a very wide range of consumers, their objective is to focus on the women in their thirties; a public with a higher purchasing power and with specific interests.
The main initiative of ‘Mango’ opening up in Pakistan was to offer a store which provides stylish and trendy clothes at an affordable price. Even though the brand is still expensive due to the fact that the cost of the clothes is in pounds converted into rupees, we can’t deny the fact that it is comparatively cheaper to other brand outlets in the same mall.
The launch event organised by Catalyst PR turned out to be an entertaining one, accompanied with the presence of the media and many other from the fashion and entertainment industry such as Mahira Khan, Ayesha Toor, Adnan Malik, Amin Guljee, Farah Khan, Momal Sheikh, Hasan Rizvi, Eshal and Nazia Malik.
The event also included the presence of models such as Abeer, Mubashira, Sana Khan, Sittara, Sehrish and Munal. The group of young upcoming models wore a few outfits by the brand as well as shoes and other accessories including jeans paired up with cute t-shirts and stylish handbags, as well as colourful dresses perfect for the current weather.
During the event the director of Mango, Sean Hurley stated, “We were looking towards Pakistan for quite some time now. This is the first store and there will be many others to come in Pakistan - next is Lahore and, of course, Islamabad,” And no doubt, the brand has already caused a stir amongst the ladies and one can see the store is already flooded with customers who are looking for something different than the rest.
