LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Labour, Human Resource, Youth Affairs and Sports Faisal Khokhar on Saturday has said that Muharram-ul-Haram is a sacred month that taught us the lessons of sacrifice, patience, unity, and resistance against oppression and injustice.

He said the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions is not merely a chapter of Islamic history, but a timeless message that stirs the conscience of humanity.

He emphasised that the message of Karbala remained a beacon of hope for the oppressed and a powerful call to uphold truth and justice in the face of tyranny. Ashura symbolizes steadfastness, dignity, and a renewed commitment to the cause of truth. On this day, the Ummah must draw inspiration from the life and legacy of Imam Hussain (RA), promoting unity, sacrifice, and endurance.

Faisal Khokhar gave a special message to the youth, urging them to understand the mission, character and values of Imam Hussain (RA) so they may live lives guided by truth, justice, and resilience.

He further added that Karbala is not just a historical event but a timeless reminder to raise our voice against cruelty, injustice, and oppression. “We must embrace this message both individually and collectively to bring about real, lasting change in our society,” he concluded.
