MULTAN: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to establish partnership with the Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) and other religious parties.
Addressing a press conference at the MWM office here on Wednesday, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi thanked all religious forces for supporting PTI candidate Zain Qureshi in the PP-217 by-poll. He said the PTI was fighting the whole system and competing in 20 constituencies. People were with Imran Khan. The government allies were reluctant to defend it. The Election Commission of Pakistan, he said had clarified that the PTI had given details of its accounts while the PPP and the PMLN did not put up their accounts’ details before the ECP.
He said the MWM and the PTI would support each other in the future and a political committee had been set up by both the parties. He said Pakistan's educated and influential class was with the PTI. The MWM had decided to support the PTI candidate.
To a query about Usman Buzdar, he said he himself would give answer for his deeds. He said they had always understood the importance of institutions and defended them. “The institutions are permanent and those who criticized the institutions are in government today,” he said.
