ISLAMABAD: The national positivity ratio of Covid-19 was recorded below 2 per cent on Tuesday amid declining disease trend and death rate.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that some 42,476 tests were conducted across the country with 689 more people testing positive — the lowest number of single-day infections since June 21.
However, some 18 infected patients lost their lives to the deadly virus, including those under treatment in hospitals. There were 2,280 Covid infected patients under treatment in critical condition in various Covid dedicated healthcare facilities across the country.
National Covid positivity ratio during the last 24 hours was recorded as 1.62 per cent. As far as the recoveries are concerned, Pakistan’s total figure has been pushed to 1,189,742, while there are no patients currently on ventilators in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
