LAHORE: The Punjab government has refused to relieve CCPO Lahore for the third time.
The provincial government once again refused on Saturday to hand over the services of CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar to the federal government. In a letter to the federation, the Punjab government requested the federal government to let the CCPO continue in Punjab.
The provincial government said that in view of law and order and long march, Ghulam Mahmood Dogar could not be relieved.
The letter said the competent authority/chief minister Punjab desired to retain the services of Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, in the wake of the security arrangements vis-à-vis ongoing long march, the arrival of Sikh Yatrees from India through Wahga border crossing for participation in 100-year celebrations of Saka Punja Sahib and the Tableeghi Ijtema.
