JHANG: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar Saturday said that party workers across the country stood with their leader Imran Khan who is struggling for the rule of law and real independent of people.
Addressing public gatherings at Athara Hazari Chowk and Shafqat Shaheed Ground while leading the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March,’ he said Imran Khan was the only true and loyal leader who had left the Prime Minister House with only his diary for the sake of peace in the country. The procession started from Ahmedpur Sial/ Garh Maharaja and reached the district headquarter by passing through Rodu Sultan, Athara Hazari, Malloana Morr and other areas of the district.
Asad Umar said that strong public participation in the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March’ proved that the nation wanted to see Imran Khan as Prime Minister of the country again. Over 2,000 policemen were deployed to protect the procession. DPO Rashid Hidayat said that the city had been divided into eight security zones besides the enforcement of a special traffic plan to divert vehicles to alternative routes. Because of the public gathering in the middle of the city, attendance in public and private educational and other institutions remained low.
