ISLAMABAD: PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has insisted holding early general election is neither good for the PTI nor democracy.
The former president, in an interview with a private news channel on Thursday, said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of ruling parties, has decided to file a motion of no-confidence in the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies.
The PPP leader also said they would contest elections if the PTI succeeds in dissolving the Punjab and KP assemblies. “We shall see how many MPAs can the PTI get elected.” He added they would continue to play the role of opposition if the assemblies are not dissolved.
