Various reasons have been given by former cricket players and people from every walk of life for the poor performance of the national cricket team in the Cricket World Cup. It is worth noting that many players from Afghanistan, India, and the Netherlands have transformed into outstanding batters or bowlers in a short period. Such an achievement could be due to their motivation for self-development and a passion for learning new skills. The role of good coaches cannot be ignored either. Unfortunately, the Pakistani players performed as if they were taking a course to unlearn cricket. A proper diagnosis of the problem is needed to rectify the situation.
