In recent years, the K-pop industry has taken the world by storm, and this wave has not spared Pakistan. The growing trend of K-pop has reached incredible levels of popularity. Yet, beneath the glitz and glamour of K-pop stars lies a darker reality. Many fans are unaware of the mental and emotional toll these idols endure. The stars often suffer from anxiety, depression, and other psychological disorders due to the immense pressure they face. Their lives are controlled by strict contracts and demanding conditions imposed by the companies that sponsor them, which can be unbearable for anyone.
As our generation increasingly takes inspiration from K-pop, they begin to copy these idols’ lifestyles and appearances. When they don’t achieve the desired results, it can lead to frustration and a loss of confidence in their own personalities. It’s essential for our young people to recognize that no two individuals in this world are identical, neither in personality nor appearance. Our generation should embrace their individuality and take pride in the qualities that make them distinct.
