RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s major tourist and entertainment festival Riyadh Season is hosting Pakistan’s Cultural Week.
The cultural week is offering an array of exciting events. Pakistani diaspora in the kingdom as well as Saudis are thronging the venue to enjoy the events, including colourful performances by Pakistani artistes.
Inaugurating the week, Saudi General Entertainment Authority advisor Nosheen Wasim welcomed the Saudi authority’s decision to promote the Pakistani culture. Riyadh Season is an annual state-funded entertainment and sports festival, started as part of 11 entertainment festivals organised under Saudi Seasons initiative launched in 2019. The annual festival will continue until March.
Nestled in the heart of Riyadh, the festival kicked off this year under the motto ‘Big Time’ on October 28 and is drawing thousands of visitors.
Al-Suwaidi Park is hosting seven different cultures in seven weeks as it allows visitors to explore different cultures of Pakistan, Sudan, India, Nepal, Philippines, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
Earlier, global sensation Shakira performed at the opening ceremony. Her mesmerising concert added a vibrant and culturally rich dimension to the season, proving that music knows no boundaries and can unite people in celebration.
