RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed a terrorist during conduct of an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday.
Security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, on reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
Troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which terrorist Habibur Rehman was sent to hell. He remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians in the area. Weapon, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorist. Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR said.
Meanwhile, Sepoy Ahmad Ali who embraced Shahadat while fighting against terrorists in South Waziristan on December 5 was laid to rest with full military honours at his native town in Charsadda on Wednesday.
The Namaz-e-Janaza was attended by officers and jawans of Pakistan, relatives of Shaheed and people of the area.
The ISPR said that such sacrifices of Shuhada give more strength to resolve of Pakistan Army in war against terrorism and fight against the menace would continue till elimination of the last terrorist.
