RAWALPINDI: The Accountability Court (AC), Islamabad, on Wednesday extended the interim bail of former chairman PTI Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi till December 13 in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The court has fixed the next date for giving final arguments on the petitions.
The AC was led by Judge Muhammad Bashir.
Chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi were present in the court during the hearing of the case.
The court has also started proceedings for declaring 3 accused, who are nominated in the Al-Qadir Trust case because of their persistent absence, as proclaimed offenders.
Sardar Latif Khosa, counsel for former chairman PTI and NAB prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi, along with his team, appeared in the court.
Later, Sardar Latif Khosa, talking to the media, said when crime agency recovered 190 million pounds, it was deposited in the Supreme Court (SC) account with the willingness of NAB and Rs35 billion were deposited in the SC account under Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
Former chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi had nothing to do with Rs190 million pounds. The former chairman PTI was only called and the entire cabinet should have been called in this case.
He went on to say the Al-Qadir Trust is a state-of-art project as it is promoting the education sector. This project is in the knowledge of NAB, National Crime Agency and registrar SC.
It is written in trust deed that the land cannot be shifted to any trustee. The Al-Qadir Trust property is not owned by former chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi.
