LAHORE:Two men died while another injured in an incident of collision between a dumper and rickshaw on Raiwind Road.
Reportedly, the victims were riding a rickshaw and going somewhere. As they reached near Raiwind Road, a dumper hit the rickshaw. As a result, three persons received injuries. Nearby people called rescue teams. The rescuers reached the spot on information and shifted the injured to hospital. The injured was identified as Muhammad Ishaq. The deceased persons could not be identified. Police shifted bodies to morgue.
Man arrested for stealing electricity, harassing Lesco team
Nawankot police arrested a suspect for stealing electricity and harassing a Lesco team. The arrested suspect was identified as Javed. Reportedly, a Lesco team had detected electricity theft. As the team tried to take an action, the suspect started harassing the team on gunpoint. They alerted police. A police team reached the spot on information, arrested the suspect, recovered a handgun from his custody and registered a case against him.
Three held for torturing man, uploading video on social media
Shahdara police arrested three suspects for torturing a citizen, filming and making the video viral on social media over suspicion of theft. The arrested suspects were identified as Boota, Shahbaz Kaka and Billu Mukhbar. They had abducted a citizen identified as Irfan over suspicion of theft. They subjected him to severe torture, shaved his head and also made a video. As the video went viral, SP city took notice of the incident and arrested the suspects. A case was registered against them.
Body found
Body of a woman was recovered from Qazi Park Shahdara Town. Police said a 60-year-old female passer-by died of cardiac arrest. The deceased could not be identified. Police reached the scene after being informed and shifted the body to morgue.
Meanwhile, bodies of two people, including a woman, were found near Race Course Club Chowk. According to Race Course Police, bodies of a 40-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were found in a decomposed state and seemed five days old.
