LAHORE:Sellers continue to fleece consumers as they are not selling vegetables, fruits and other edibles according to the price list issued from the district administration in which the prices of the commodities have been reduced.
The mega superstores where DC price counters have been established consumers are charged double the price mentioned in official rate list. The stores refuse to sell A-quality products on official rate lists and ask the consumers to buy low quality items at reduced prices.
This week price of chicken was further reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs406-422 per kg, sold at Rs460-480 per kg, and chicken meat by Rs22 per kg, fixed at Rs612 per kg, and sold Rs660-1300 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin unchanged at Rs40-45 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs36-40 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs32-35 per kilogram, mixed sold at Rs60-80 per kg. The price of onion A-grade unchanged at Rs195-205 per kg, sold at Rs230-250 per kg, B-grade at Rs182-190 per kg, sold at Rs200-210 per kg, and C-grade gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs170-175 per kg, sold at sold at Rs180 per kg.
The price of tomato A-grade increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs90-95 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs80-85 per kg, sold at Rs120 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs70-75 per kg, sold at Rs100 per kg.
The price of garlic local was reduced by Rs10 per kg, at Rs490-510 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg, and Garlic China gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs505-525 per kg, sold at Rs800 per kg. The price Ginger Thai further reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs440-455 per kg, sold at Rs600-800 per kg, Garlic Indonesia unchanged at Rs325-340 per kg, sold Rs500 per kg. Cucumber Farm further reduced by Rs40 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg.
Brinjal price was further reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed Rs90-95 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg. Biter gourd price further increased by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs300-330 per kg, sold at Rs500-600 per kg.
The price Spinach farm further declined by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 sold at Rs80-100 per kg, spinach local by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs55-58 per kg, sold at Rs120 per kg.
Zucchini farm further reduced by Rs40 per kg, fixed at Rs90-95 per kg, sold at Rs160 per kg, and Zucchini long at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg.
The price of lemon China unchanged at Rs65-70 per kg, sold at Rs120-160 per kg.
Pumpkin was reduced by Rs35 per kg, fixed at Rs120-125 per kg, sold at Rs300 per kg. Green chili price A-grade reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs200-210 per kg, sold at Rs300-320 per kg, B-grade gained by Rs35 per kg, fixed at Rs130-135 per kg, sold at Rs220-240 per kg.
Capsicum price reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs220-230 per kg, sold at Rs300-320 per kg. Price of cauliflower was reduced by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs100-105 per kg, sold at Rs150 per kg, cabbage gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs120-125 per kg, sold Rs180-200 per kg.
Carrot Chinese unchanged at Rs105-110 per kg, sold at Rs250 per kg, carrot local gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs60-80 per kg.
Arum was gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs160-165 per kg, not sold. Turnip was reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs52-55 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg.
Fenugreek (Methi) unchanged at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs150 per kg. Pea price was further reduced by Rs40 per kg, fixed at Rs135-140 per kg, sold at Rs150-200 per kg. Beetroot was sold at Rs300-320 per kg. Coriander was sold at Rs20 per bundle. Beans price was not issued, sold at Rs800 per kg.
Radish was reduced by Rs2 per kg, fixed at Rs20-22 per kg, sold at Rs40-50 per kg.
Mogray price was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs205-215 per kg, sold at Rs250-300 per kg. Saag was reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs70-80 per kg.
The price of different variety of apples fixed at Rs58-305 per kg, sold at Rs250-500 per kg. The price of Banana A-category gained by Rs5 per dozen, fixed at Rs150-155 per dozen, sold at Rs200 per dozen, and B-category fixed at Rs100-105 per dozen, sold at Rs140-150 per dozen, and C-category fixed at Rs70-75 per dozen, sold at Rs120-130 per dozen. Dates Irani fixed at Rs465-485 per kg, sold at Rs800 to 1200 per kg.
Papaya further gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs210-220 per kg, sold at Rs250-280 per kg. Guava was fixed at Rs68-125 per kg, sold at Rs130-250 per kg. Musami was unchanged at Rs65-110 per dozen, sold at Rs200-220 per dozen. Grapefruit was fixed at Rs17-18 per piece, sold at Rs25-30 per piece. Citrus fruit was further gained by Rs10 per dozen fixed at Rs85-200 per dozen, sold at Rs180-450 per dozen.
