ETPB collects Rs1.955bn in seven months

LAHORE:Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) collected about Rs1.955 billion in terms of lease and tenancy of agricultural area in the first seven months of the financial year 2023-24, which is the record increase in the income of ETPB.

The target of 52 percent revenue rate has been achieved as compared to the recovery targets set for the current financial year of Rs3.64 billion. According to the ETPB spokesperson, the implementation of online billing and modern system has given the board a substantial increase in income and lease.

Secretary Board Farid Iqbal said that the best steps were being taken to increase the income. No effort will be spared to achieve the goals of the annual budget while in this context, the Accounts Department and administration will proceed with other areas together.

A report will be prepared every fortnight and the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be informed. Meanwhile, Rs6.5 million were deposited by the tenants of the ETPB.

Three committees have been formed under the Central Procurement Cell to control the expenditure while the Additional Secretary Admin will be the head of these committees so that all purchases are made as per the rules and regulations and the expenditure can be controlled.
