I want to invite the attention of the concerned authorities to the traffic problem in our country’s big cities. As this involves the loss of property and lives, it demands priority. All authorities relating to traffic at the local levels are well aware of the fact that we have unqualified drivers, sub-standard vehicles, and inefficient and probably corrupt administration.
All these factors contribute to traffic problems. In order to improve the traffic situation in big cities, people who break traffic laws should be punished and there should be traffic police on all busy roads. Public awareness about traffic rules should also be given importance.
