Despite being one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths, there seems to be a lack of awareness surrounding the risks, early detection, and available resources when it comes to lung cancer. Raising awareness is vital in encouraging individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles, avoid smoking, and undergo regular screenings.
Early detection can significantly improve the chances of successful treatment. Moreover, support for ongoing research and access to information can empower both patients and their families. I urge our leaders to come together to promote initiatives that emphasize lung cancer education, prevention, and support. By doing so, we can contribute to a healthier and more informed Pakistan.
