MANSEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers on Sunday thronged the streets to demand the issuance of results.

The workers led by party leaders assembled outside the district returning officer’s offices after marching through Abbottabad Road and Kashmir Road.

Holding banners and placards they raised slogans in support of their party’s founding chairman Imran Khan.

“The results contrary to the public mandate are being issued by the Returning Officers, which we would never accept and take them to the court of law,” Babar Saleem Swati, the MPA-elect said.

Babar Swati, who is divisional president of PTI in Hazara, claimed that the results of Shahzada Gustasap Khan, who defeated former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with a margin of over 25000 votes, were being held without lawful authority.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahzada Gustasap Khan said nobody could change his results at any cost.

“I have won these elections by a big margin and the Returning Officer concerned also issued form 57 of my return but how PMLN could change my results,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Saleem Imran Swati said the February 8 elections were in fact a referendum and people showed their support to Imran Khan.

“We would face whatever comes in our way as we didn’t for since our government was vanished in the country,” he added.
