94 buffaloes, cows stolen from livestock farm in Landhi

KARACHI: Unidentified armed assailants stole 94 buffaloes and cows worth millions of rupees from a livestock farm in the Landhi area, it emerged on Sunday.

The theft took place within the limits of the Landhi police station on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

The police have registered an FIR No 24/88 under the Section 397 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the farm owner, Waheed Bukhsh, at the Landhi police station. According to the FIR, around 20 to 25 robbers were responsible for the theft of the animals and they were armed Kalashnikovs, repeaters and pistols.

The armed assailants tied up the owner and employees and fled after loading the cattle in three trucks. The value of the stolen buffaloes and cows is estimated to be in millions.

The complainant stated that he could identify four suspects involved in the theft whose names were Mansoor Chandio, Akhtar Chandio, Wali Jan Chandio, and Arshad Brohi. He added that the armed assailants also took one of his employees along with the cattle.
