ISLAMABAD: Seven persons sustained burn injuries as a fire erupted in the emergency centre of the Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad in Karachi on Sunday.
According to media reports, the fire broke out due to cylinder explosion in the emergency ward of the hospital situated in a densely populated area of Karachi.
Police said all the injured persons were hospital's staff and they were rushed to another hospital.
After the fire, smoke also spread to other parts of the hospital, causing inconvenience for patients and their attendants.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori took notice of the incident and sought a report from the medical superintendent of the Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad.
