LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) President and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif met Malaysia's Charge d'affaires here on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the PMLN media cell said Malaysia’s Charge d'affaires Faisal Ahmed Saleh reached the residence of Shehbaz Sharif and held a meeting with him. Both leaders discussed issues of mutual interest between Pakistan and Malaysia. Shehbaz expressed his best wishes to the leadership and people of Malaysia. The PMLN president said Malaysia's development is an example for the Islamic world. The people of the two countries are bound by a relationship of mutual respect, faith and Islamic values, he added.

The Malaysian charge d'affaires appreciated the efforts of the PMLN for the development of Pakistan and Punjab. Meanwhile, in his tweet, Shehbaz said the gas crisis is another example of how the PTI government is throwing the country into one crisis after another due to its mismanagement.
