Two die in different incidents

Two people lost their lives in different incidents in the provincial capital on Thursday. One of the victims was identified as Farid, son of Muhammad Shabbir, a resident of Chakwal.

He was blind and hit by a train near Shahdara Railway Station. Police shifted the body to morgue. In the other incident, a 20-year-old youth was electrocuted in the Township area. The victim was identified as Imran, a resident of Gojra. His body was shifted to the mortuary by Edhi ambulance.

15 die in road accidents in 24 hours

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,175 road traffic accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 15 people died, whereas 1,258 were injured. Out of these, 558 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 700 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
