Tough times

Monday, Feb 26, 2024

Pakistan is passing through the toughest times, beset with a widening gap between poor and rich, economic deprivation, lack of security and justice, corruption in public institutions, unaccountability, poor governance, inadequate health and education facilities, and lack of inclusive democratic practices.

It is hard to believe the country will see any permanent solution to its many prevailing problems any time soon. The state needs to rethink its approach to sorting out these issues and learn from the mistakes of the past.
