CM’s air ambulance initiative lauded

LAHORE:Ameer Uddin Medical College and Lahore General Hospital Principal Prof Al-Fareed Zafar has said that the decision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to start air ambulance service for the first time in the province is highly commendable and in line with the needs of the time.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the Principal said that due to the increasing traffic congestion on the roads, daily traffic jams and accidents on the motorways and industrial units, it was a big challenge to bring the injured to the hospital well in time due to which many precious lives were lost.

Prof Al-Fareed said that this huge problem will be solved with the launch of air ambulance service and it will be possible to airlift the injured to the hospitals in time and save hundreds of precious lives.

He highlighted that Pakistan has already reached the level of developed countries in various fields and with the launch of this air ambulance service, we will also touch the height of innovation in the medical field which Europe and other developed countries have already achieved. Prof. Al-Fareed said that this step was a requirement of the current era while the poor and underprivileged people get this service to feel privileged.
