Islamabad:Mushal Hussein Mullick (Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment) graced the event as the chief guest at International Women’s Day titled ‘Daughters of Pakistan’ event at The Centaurus Mall, says a press release.
The event was attended by , faculty and students of NUML University Islamabad, and members of the Lions Club and Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan (President IDA), Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan (SVP Sardar Group) and women employees of the Mall.
Mushal Hussein Mullick appreciated The Centaurus for its efforts in advancing women’s empowerment and equality. She said that as a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, their department is dedicated to initiating measures that ensure equal opportunities for women to participate fully in national, economic, and political affairs, aligning with constitutional guarantees and international standards against gender discrimination under the Prime Minister’s vision. She expressed a desire for a higher level of women’s participation in national affairs, highlighting the current low levels and the need for improvement.
Speaking at the event, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan emphasised The Centaurus commitment to promoting women’s rights, participation, and empowerment. He stated that The Centaurus is doing its part to ensure that the voices of Pakistani women are heard loud and clear. He highlighted the platform’s role in championing women’s causes through exhibitions, events, and festivals, aiming to inspire more women to take up challenges and achieve greatness in any field they choose. This dedication to empowering women and supporting women-owned businesses reflects a strong stance on gender equality and inclusivity within the organisation. He also mentioned the equal opportunities provided to women in employment within The Centaurus.
Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan also emphasized the significance of celebrating and empowering women, acknowledging the contributions of many renowned women in history such as Hazrat Ayesha R.A, Fatima Jinnah, Bilqis Eidhi, and many others.
