A woman accompanied by her father was arrested for allegedly disposing of her husband’s body after murdering him in a garbage dumpster in PIB Colony.
The deceased, identified as Faizan, was murdered, and later his body was found in the garbage dump near the Old Sabzi Mandi area within the limits of the PIB Colony police station on Tuesday.
The police had registered a case based on a complaint of the victim’s father and had initiated investigations. The police later arrested the victim’s wife, Arzu, and her father, Naeem, for their alleged involvement in the murder, claiming to have recovered a dagger used in the incident. The police stated that the deceased, Faizan, was a resident of the Garden area and worked as a welder.
The initial investigations revealed that Faizan was drugged by his wife with sleeping pills, rendering him unconscious while he was in bed. Subsequently, the wife and her father stabbed Faizan to death. After the murder, they wrapped the body in a blanket, transported it to the old vegetable market via motorcycle, and dumped it in a garbage dumpster. The police stated that the couple got married a year and a half ago, while the woman claimed that her husband used to physically abuse her, which led her and her father to plan the murder.
