In view of the unprecedented inflation in the country, the new PM’s major objectives should include the correction of the economy and a considerable reduction in inflation. Concurrently, EOBI pensions must also be enhanced. Many private sector employees find themselves left with nothing upon retirement.
Private sector retirees only rely on EOBI pension which is currently quite meagre. The new government needs to pay attention to this injustice and legislation should be passed that ensures that all are able to retire with dignity.
