A three-year-old child who was set on fire along with her two siblings by her father a week ago succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital Karachi on Tuesday.
Arif Bashir, a 45-year-old fruit vendor, had set himself and his three children on fire on the night between March 5 and 6 at a ground in Sector 5C-4 in North Karachi. Arif had succumbed to his injuries at the burns ward of the Civil Hospital Karachi the day after the incident. Meanwhile, the three children, three-year-old Ghulam Hussain, four-year-old Imaan Fatima, and five-year-old Hooriya, were receiving treatment at the National Institute of Child Health, Jinnah Hospital.
Hooriya died during treatment on Monday morning. Earlier, Imaan Fatima had also passed away during treatment, while Ghulam Hussain, under intensive care, died on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
