PESHAWAR: Granting transit bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday directed him to appear in the relevant courts within 20 days.
A single-member bench of Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan heard the bail plea of Shibli Faraz.
The counsel for the petitioner, Naeem Panjota, told the court that over 20 cases have been registered against Shibli Faraz in Punjab, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
He said that his client was committed to cooperating with the courts as a law abiding citizen, and sought order against his possible arrest. The court granted bail to Shibli Faraz against a surety bond of Rs100,000.
