District committee to monitor ration distribution

Rawalpindi: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has formed a District Committee to monitor the distribution of ‘ration’ neatly and cleanly without any nepotism for the residents of Rawalpindi district having Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) membership.

Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) PP-6 in Rawalpindi Muhammad Bilal Yameen will be the Chairman of District Committee to monitor all activities of local management to check whether deserving people were getting ration or not. Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) PP-10 Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem and (MPA), PP-16 Zia Ullah Shah will be the members of the District Committee in Rawalpindi.

Punjab government has issued a Notification No. SO (I&C-1)1-22/2024 that the Chief Minister Punjab has constituted a ‘District Committee’ for monitoring the Chief Minister’s Special Initiatives in District Rawalpindi, to ensure effective Public Service Delivery with immediate effect. TORs of the District Committee shall be as follows monitor and supervise ‘Nighayban Ramazan Package’, 2024 along with ‘Ramazan Bazaars’ and Agriculture Fair Price Shops (AFPS).

The committee shall hold regular reviews and submit its reports to the chief minister through the I&C Wing, S&GAD accordingly. The deputy commissioner, Rawalpindi shall coordinate with the committee and provide secretariat support.
