ISLAMABAD: Managing Director Pakistan Baitul Mal Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan has resigned due to the personal reasons.
Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan who assumed the charge of Managing Director of Pakistan Baitul Mal on February 23 this year, is an author, analyst, sociopreneur, think-tanker, and a celebrated legal expert.
Since June 2018, after losing two sons in a road accident in Pakistan, Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan had set up Ali Zamam Foundation and dedicated his life to working for the greater good of humanity, education, and wellbeing of the underprivileged and orphans.
He sent his written resignation to the Prime Minister Federal Secretary Poverty Alleviation quoting personal reasons for resigning from the post.
Meanwhile, a BPS-18 officer of Office Management Group Mian Usman Ali Shah, who was posted as Section Officer in the Establishment Division, has been suspended under Rule 5 of Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules 2020. According to sources, the suspended officer was accused that he did not intentionally process files of some officers of Police Service who were facing disciplinary action. Secretary Establishment while taking notice of reports suspended him and ordered an inquiry against him.
Meanwhile, a BPS-18 Section Officer from Office Management Group has been transferred from the Establishment Division to the Planning Division.
