Karachi’s public transportation system, particularly the local bus network, is in dire need of improvement. The Red Bus service facility is not available in every area, forcing many to use the overcrowded local buses.
This is especially hard on women. These buses are also quite unreliable and have no fixed timings. They are also rather unsafe and unclean. The new bus services need to be expanded to every area of the city so that no one is excluded.
