PESHAWAR: Anti-Terrorism Court has granted interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader and Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs Adnan Qadri until April 6 in a case involving an attack on the Hayatabad police check-post.

The decision prevents his arrest by the police and allows time for further legal proceedings. The case was heard by ATC Judge Muhammad Adil Khan. The court was informed that Adnan Qadri had allegedly participated in the attack on the police check-post during a protest against the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan on May 9.

Subsequently, the Hayatabad Police Station filed a case against Adnan Qadri and others, charging them with terrorism and other offenses. During the hearing, Adnan Qadri’s lawyer argued that the case against his client was politically motivated and lacked sufficient evidence that could link him to the attack on the post. He urged the court to grant bail to prevent Adnan Qadri’s arrest. The court granted interim bail to Adnan Qadri until April 6 and also sought records from the police for further review and proceedings in the case.
