Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training launched a cleanliness campaign in Islamabad's public sector schools and colleges regulated by the Federal Directorate of Education.
The initiative comes at the direction of education secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani to ensure clean learning environments in educational institutions, according to officials. The ministry tasked the National Commission for Human Development with leading the cleanliness campaign at Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB), I/8-3. A team of NCHD directors and departmental heads went to the school to participate in the drive.
They inspected playgrounds, classrooms, and restrooms to assess the cleanliness situation and identify areas for improvement. They found the premises to be well maintained, with proper trash cans placed in corners. NCHD director-general Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmed went to classrooms and educated students about the significance of cleanliness in their lives.
He said maintaining a clean and healthy environment was imperative for the physical and spiritual well-being of people. The DG appreciated the school administration for their commitment to cleanliness on campus. 'Such proactive steps foster a positive learning atmosphere. We all should contribute to keeping our schools clean and inspiring future generations to do so,' he said.
