ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary leader of the PPP in the Senate Senator Sherry Rehman said that the members of the Sunni Ittehad Council tried to distort the positive image of Pakistan, around the world, by protesting during President’s Zardari’s address to the joint session of the parliament. “On the one hand President Asif Ali Zardari was giving a message of reconciliation in the Parliament and on the other hand the SIC was propagating hatred and division,” she said while reacting to the protest of the PTI-backed SIC in the joint session of Parliament. Senator Sherry Rehman said members of the Sunni Ittehad Council proved that chaos was part of their manifesto by making noise in the Parliament in front of diplomats when they tried to turn the parliament into a spectacle. ”Rehman demanded the SIC should apologise to the people of Pakistan for the shameful action in the Parliament.
