WASHINGTON: The State Department on Monday said Hamas ‘moved the goal posts’ in ceasefire talks with Israel. The ceasefire discussions, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are being held against the backdrop of a humanitarian disaster in Gaza, where Palestinians are suffering severe shortages of food, medicine and other essentials. Separately, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said the United States had received a report by former French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna into the U.N. aid agency for Palestinians, UNRWA, and is reviewing it.
