A policeman allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in New Karachi area on Thursday.
The incident occurred at a house near Kala School within the limits of the Bilal Colony police station. After 59-year-old Tariq shot himself, he was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he died.
Police, quoting initial investigations, stated that the traffic police constable committed suicide at his home with his licensed pistol. The deceased cop had retired and was currently on LPR. The police are investigating to ascertain the motive behind the suicide.
