karachi: A woman was killed apparently in the name of honour in the Orangi Town area on Sunday.
The incident took place at a house located in MPR Colony in Orangi Town. Upon receiving the information, police and rescue workers reached the property and transported the casualty to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where the deceased woman was identified as Asma.
Police said the victim’s brother-in-law, Zameen Khan, had stabbed her to death apparently for honour, and they had arrested the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the incident.
During initial course of interrogation, the suspect had confessed to the murder, police said. A case has been registered and investigations are under way.
