karachi: The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) is developing a mobile application for the delivery of waste disposal bills to the industries.
The SSWMB managing director, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, said that with the help of the mobile application, bills would be delivered in an organised way and unpaid bills would be tracked easily.
He said that with the help of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) members, the industrial area could be cleaned and made free of environmental pollution.
He remarked that some factories were throwing waste in open spaces, which was not only harmful to the people's health but also causing environmental pollution.
He was holding a meeting with members of the KATI on Saturday. KATI President Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Chairman of the Standing Committee Saleem-uz-Zaman, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Muhammad Zubair Chhaya, former KATI president Faraz-ur-Rehman and others participated in the meeting. The SSWMB chief said that an app was being developed to deliver cleaning bills in an organised way.
