KARACHI: The Karachi commissioner, Syed Hasan Naqvi, has directed all the deputy commissioners of the city to submit a survey report of all hazardous buildings within one week and take measures to get them vacated.
The city administration has decided to evacuate the dangerous buildings in the city. In this regard, the commissioner held a meeting on Monday that was attended by an assistant commissioner of a District South sub-division, Junaid Alam, officials from the Evacuee Property Trust Board, director of property tax, and officers from the Karachi Development Authority and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) land departments.
