RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed eight terrorists in intelligence based operations in Tank and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On night of April 28 and 29, the security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Tank district on reported presence of terrorists. Troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which four terrorists were killed. The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them.
Separately, the security forces Monday killed four terrorists in Khyber on reported presence of terrorists. During the operation, intense fire exchange took place between troops and terrorists, as a result four terrorists were killed including their ringleaders Qari Wajid alias Qari Baryal and Razziq.
Terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation and a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered. Locals of the area appreciated the operation. Sensitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
