ISLAMABAD: The petrol price in Pakistan has been slashed by Rs5.45 per litre from Rs293.94 to Rs288.49 for the next fortnight in line with the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).

According to an official notification issued by the Finance Division on Tuesday, the price of diesel has also been cut by Rs8.42 per litre to Rs281.96 per litre. The Finance Division, in the statement, said that the prices of petroleum products have been reduced due to a decline in crude oil prices in the global market in the past two weeks.

“The prices of petroleum products have seen a decreasing trend in the international market during the last fortnight.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market,” the notification read.
