Citizen kills two robbers in North Nazimabad

Two suspected robbers were killed by firing of a citizen in District Central of Karachi on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

The incident took place near the Hussani Government Boys Secondary School in North Nazimabad within the limits of the Nazimabad police station. Upon receiving the information, police and rescue workers reached the crime scene and transported the casualties to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

As a result of the firing, one suspected robber was killed on the spot and the other was seriously wounded. He was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased men were identified as Saud Ahmed, son of Siraj Ahmed, and Shahid, son of Azeem.

Police said the suspects were robbing citizens when a man fired at them. A case has been registered and investigations are under way.

Separately, an encounter between police and suspects took place at the railway line near the Sirajud Daula College in Sharifabad where after an exchange of fire, three robbers were arrested.

Police said one of the three suspects was arrested in an injured state. He was identified as Hammad, son of Tufail while his companions were identified as Shaheryar and Nehal.

Police claimed to have seized two pistols from their possession.

Meanwhile, a suspect was arrested in an injured state and two of his accomplices escaped during an exchange of fire with the police in Aligarh Society in the Sohrab Goth area.

The arrested suspect was later identified as Naseer, son of Rozi. Police also found a pistol on him. A case was registered and investigations are under way.
