Train traffic suspended as bogie derails in Nankana

NANKANA SAHIB: A bogie of a train derailed near south railway track at Sangla Hill on Tuesday.

Reportedly, Rahman Baba 47th Up was on its way to Rawalpindi from Karachi when its one bogie derailed. All passengers remained safe as the speed of the train was slow. Due to the derailment, train traffic remained suspended. Later, the railway track was restored for other trains.

Three injured in roof collapse: Three people suffered injuries when the roof of a workshop collapsed on them at Shahkot on Tuesday. Imran, 40, Zohaib, 22, and Miraj, 15, were present in the workshop when its roof collapsed. As a result, they were injured. The injured were shifted to THQ Hospital, Shahkot.

DPO holds open court: District Police Officer (DPO) Mansoor Aman Tuesday held an open court at Syedwala police station.

The DPO listened to the problems and grievances of the visitors and issued orders on the spot for their resolution. Talking to reporters on the occasion, he said it was his main priority to administer justice to the masses at their doorstep. He said cooperation of the masses was quite vital for eradication of crimes from society.

He said his office doors are open for people round-the-clock and they can approach him without any hesitation.
